Class Descriptions

Barre – Barre fuses Ballet inspired movements, Pilates, and Yoga exercises to strengthen and develop long, lean muscles. This total body conditioning technique has been intertwined with traditional cardio and strength to create a fun workout that will transform and sculpt your entire body. No experience necessary. Beginners are welcome!

 

Cardio & Strength – An energetic mix of aerobic conditioning and strength training using the step, hand weights and resistance tubes. This class will strengthen your muscles while burning calories and keeping your heart rate elevated. Adjustable step height and weight selection make this a beneficial class for all fitness levels.

 

Core Express – A quick class that fuses the disciplines of core conditioning, balance and functional training to tone your body, strengthen your core and improve your posture. Use equipment such as BOSU Balance Trainers, Stability Balls, Gliding Discs and more to train your core in a variety of ways. Tone your midsection, strengthen your center and keep yourself injury free.

 

Cycle – Athletic indoor cycle class. An efficient calorie torching workout that is low impact and high energy! Excellent for all fitness levels.

 

Cycle/Core- Athletic indoor cycle class. Full of exciting choreography to push past the uncomfortable feeling. Build stamina, great for cardio strength, easy on the joints. The core portion of class is focused on building strength in the abdominal area. Works the entire abdominal area in various positions to create a nice burn.

 

Chair Yoga & Strength – Chair Yoga Strength is good for everyone! Great for beginners, anyone who has trouble getting up & down off the floor,  or recovering from an injury. Move, stretch, strengthen & practice balance using the chair. The additional use of light hand held weights, other props will keep it interesting. As always the use of props will make the class a bit more difficult, but can be done with or without. 

 

Gentle Yoga- Slower paced yoga classes that doesn’t flow like a traditional yoga class. Great for beginners or those who are looking to stretch the entire body. 

 

Pilates – An evolution of traditional mat Pilates and current core conditioning methodology. This class blends the mat work series of Joseph Pilates with the most current core stability and strength exercises. An exciting and challenging class for any fitness level.

 

Yoga Flow – This Yoga practice is done in a flow format. Bringing awareness to alignment and finding deeper expression of postures with the use of breath. Build heat in the body and strength overall. Everyone is encouraged to do what they can. All levels welcome!
